Growing a business through e-commerce is a complicated but important task. Being able to successfully access markets across the world can open up new opportunities for any business. It's not easy to do alone, and the learning process can be tedious, time consuming and lead to many dead ends.

The alternative is to find help. In this day and age, selecting a person or company to help you through this process can be daunting - there is never a guarantee of success or accountability.

I've learned this through my own experience of growing a company from bootstrap beginnings to the eventual exit of my 7 figure revenue e-commerce business. Through the 7 years of building this company I worked with numerous gurus, consultants and agents in different aspects of business. Most of which I paid high monthly fees with little success to show for it.

I always wondered if there was a better consulting model which tied fees to the completion goals we had set out to achieve or specific performance metrics. This is why I created the Project Based Consulting Fee Model

This model uses a discovery process to create applicable growth projects for your company and assign fair fees which are only paid upon completion of specific tasks, actions or results, all of which are mutual agreed upon.

Step 1: Determine package/goals

Through the discovery meeting we will determine which growth package works best for you business needs. From there we can map out the goals and metrics we will use to build the foundation of our project.

Step 2: Assign tasks/Metrics

After the goals and metrics are determined, we will list all of the tasks required to get to the final completion results. This includes a task timeline, hours required, and specific measurable metrics.

Step 3: Agree on fee for completion

Based on the complexity and hours required for the tasks we will agree on a fee for service once the tasks are complete. Other fees such as metric results are also determined here.

Step 4: Sign, share timeline, get to work!

Once everything is agreed upon, we will write a performance contract with all of the details discussed. After signing, we will create a task timeline and start digging in to what's important, the work!

Who?

Blue Mountain Global was founded by me, Derek Saito. My journey started in 2016 when I transitioned from a typical 9-5 with an e-commerce side hustle, to a fully committed entrepreneur.  

Over the last 7 years I have launched numerous brands with a wide range of complexity. From drop shipping, private labelling, OEM products to full production warehouses, I have seen and learned a lot through my time.

Fully bootstrapped from the beginning, my partner and I grew our brands from zero to $3M+ revenue at the time of our exit in 2021.

I know all too well what it was like to start out and be handcuffed by limited budgets and a lack of knowledge and confidence, trying to grow a business through the complicated world of global e-commerce. I've learned about launching products and getting them from infancy to their full potential quickly.

My mission is to help people get their business to their desired growth goals, teach which mistakes not to make, how to analyze each decision and determine which risks are worth taking. To lead a business through a path I would take if I was to do it all over again. However, I'll do it in a way that makes me accountable for my claims where i'll only benefit if your business benefits.
